What we promise, and what we do when we're wrong

Every receipt we publish carries a signature. A signature proves a record wasn't altered after we signed it. It says nothing about whether we got the record right.

So this page is about the other half. What happens when someone tells us we didn't.

Challenge a published receipt, and we publish the outcome within 14 days.

One at a time. We work through challenges in the order they arrive. If several land at once they queue, and the queue is published. The 14 days run from when a challenge reaches the front.

What the outcome can be

Whichever way it falls, it goes up. A challenge that only ever produces one answer isn't a challenge.

OutcomeWhat it means
upheld The receipt stands, and we say why.
corrected The receipt was wrong, and we say what was wrong.
withdrawn It comes out of the publish tree.

A correction is never an edit

Each receipt is content-addressed and signed. Change one character and the hash stops matching, so the signature fails. Editing a published receipt isn't something we decline to do. It's something the format won't let us do.

Which is the reason this page exists at all. A signature proves a record wasn't altered after signing. It proves nothing about whether the record was right. Not that the ground truth was correct, not that the tests were sufficient, not that nothing important was omitted.

So a correction is a new signed record, dated, published beside the original. The original stays where it is. Anyone can see what changed, and when.

What counts as a challenge

Name a specific receipt, and say what's wrong with it. Send it to challenges@turiyahq.com.

There's no form to fill in and no account to make.

We say that plainly because a promise is worth what it costs to invoke. If filing a challenge takes an afternoon, that isn't a promise. It's a gate.

Why 14 days

It's one number, it's one person, and it's what we can keep in a bad week. A shorter window would look stronger and be worth less.

What happens to this page

We don't revise a challenge once it's filed. The terms that apply to yours are the ones in force the day it arrives.

This page is Holynt's commitment. If this business is ever sold, the page goes with it, and we won't sell it to a buyer who won't keep it.

The log

Every challenge against a published receipt, with its date and its outcome. The log starts on 30 September 2026. Nothing has been challenged yet.

The dates are the point. If we miss a window, they show it. That is why there is no separate promise about missing one.
